Completed in 2025, this series of illustrations of Montana's feathered friends will develop and evolve over time as I get more of them illustrated.
I chose watercolor to complement the graphite pencil underdrawings I made for each of the birds from my finished sketches. This process allows me to keep my feather and facial details in tact as I add color to the finished pieces.
The prints are made by the artist here in Missoula, Montana on acid-free fine art matte paper in three sizes and are also available as notecards.
