There are two main species of chickadees found in Montana: Black-capped Chickadees throughout most of Montana and mountain chickadees living primarily in the higher elevations in the Rocky Mountains. Known for their spunky personalities and lack of fear of people, these lovable birds are present at nearly everyone's feeder and provide a lovely background when hiking around various parts of Montana.
