Pastel pencil drawing of a Indian Paintbrush was based on a photo I took in 2023 in Pattee Creek Recreation Area here in Missoula. It was growing along the trail and was lighted by a strong raking beam of sunlight that really helped set it offagainst the darker green background. It was glowing in the sunlight and immediately grabbed my attention.
This is the fourth piece I have completed in pastel pencil.
The prints are made by the artist here in Missoula, Montana on acid-free fine art matte paper in three sizes and are also available as notecards.
